Authors

Jakuba Katalpa (real name Tereza Jandová, *1979, Plzeň) is a writer and artist. She graduated in psychology, media studies and Czech studies. In 2005 she was awarded second prize in the Šumava Literary competition (in the over-25s poetry category). In 2007 her debut novel Je hlína k snědku? was nominated for the Magnesia Litera Prize in the ‘discovery of the year’ category, and in 2009 Hořké moře was nominated for the Jiří Orten Prize.
