(b. 1933 in Prague), Czech prose writer, songstress and translator of French liteature, wife of Josef Škvorecký.

Graduated in dramaturgy in Film academy of performing arts in Prague. In 1969 she emigrated from Czechoslovakia and settle down in Toronto, Canada, where she and her husband founded a publishing house ´68 Publishers. Her most widely known books are novels Honzlová / Summer in Prague (1972) and Nebe, peklo, ráj / Ashes, Ashes, All Fall Down (1976).
