An omnibus edition of six theatre plays of the most successful Czech playwright of the twenty-first century. He graduated in dramaturgy and screenwriting at FAMU and is also a film and television director and screenwriter (e.g. Buttoners, 1997). His plays are staged not only in Europe (they are extremely popular in Poland) but also in the USA and Canada; as an author of plays, he is associated with the Dejvické Theatre in Prague. He was twice awarded the prestigious Alfréd Radok Award in the category Czech play of the year (Ordinary Madness, 2001; Očištění, 2010), with the first play having been also successfully made into a film (2005). Petr Zelenka (1967) ingeniously describes current reality using film thinking and technology (editing); he also works with intertextual allusions. By “abnormal” behaviour of his characters he displays the so-called normality of our life.
