A jury of academics, translators and booksellers will choose the fifth winner of the Czech Book Award on 12 May. There is also a readers’ award which the public can vote for here. A number of international publishers, including representatives from Poland, Germany, Morocco and Canada, will attend the award ceremony at the Book World Prague fair.

In the four years since the award was established, it has helped publish ten translations in five languages through forging exclusive partnerships with international publishers interested in translating contemporary Czech authors.
