Successful Czech Literary Centre residency applications announced

The CLC received 124 applications from 35 countries.

Fifteen residencies will be organised in 2017 based on the decision of the CLC selection committee. Eleven of the residencies will take place in Prague and the remaining four in Brno. In Prague, the successful applicants will be housed in an apartment in Prague 4 — Podolí, in Brno they will be housed in the Moravian Library.

The successful applicants include translators from the USA, Germany, Hungary and Poland, a Ukrainian author and a Czech-Austrian writer.

The first residencies in the Czech Republic for foreign translators, Czech studies specialists and writers will take place from September to December 2017. The 2018 call for applications will be announced before the end of the summer.
