Prague’s House of Reading set to host a Czech Literature Portal evening
Head of the Literary Section at the Arts Institute Viktor Debnár baand editor-in-chief of the Czech Literature Portal Jaroslav Balvín will present the activities of the literary website which charters contemporary Czech literature and through an English version, also informs foreign readers about it.
Writers, who are featured in the author database run by the Portal, will read from their ouvre during the evening: the Prague-based prosaist Milan Kozelka of the older generation and Irena Šťastná from Ostrava representing the younger generation of Czech poetry. Free entrance. The event – held in Czech language – starts at 6pm at the House of Reading (Dům čtení), Ruská 192, Prague 10.
