Three contemporary personalities of Czech culture (Zdeněk Sís, Květa Pacovská and Iva Procházková) are the “the main characters” in Svatava Urbanová‘s interestingly conceived publication. In all of the cases, the key to their selection was their international prestige and, at the same time, their professed affinity to the Czech milieu.
The author is the head of the Department of Czech Literature, Literary Science and History of Art and is also the director of the Institute for Regional Studies at University of Ostrava in Ostrava.
