The book Postgenerace (Post-Generation) examines the generation of poets who arrived on the literary scene at the dawn of the 1990s and whose ouvre yielded plenty of hope and expectation. Rather than only delivering a mere interpretation of the particular poetry collections written by these young authors, the study primarily strives to explore the literary context surrounding this generation and follows its critical response. In this respect, its development goes hand in hand with the transformation of the literary criticism which was forced to re-define its starting point and role after 1989. Not a comprehensive study on the poetics of the young generation of poets, this book is more of an attempt to reconstruct the shifts and expectations placed on poetry and its critical response during the 1990s.
