Lustig, Pilátová and Mališová in Buenos Aires

The writer Arnošt Lustig and the head of the Franz Kafka Centre Markéta Mališová appeared on the show Entrelinhas (Between the Lines) broadcast on the famous Brazilian cultural TV station TV Cultura. The footage was taken during the international book fair in Buenos Aires.
You can check it out on YouTube.

Lustig and Mališová had a mutual lecture and reading as part of the Borges/Kafka Biannale in Buenos Aires this May. The TV show sees Mališová speak about Kafka, while Lustig mentions his books and the Holocaust.

Also speaking at the biennale was the young author Markéta Pilátová – focusing on the Portuguese translation of her book Žluté oči vedou domů (The Yellow Eyes That Lead Me Home) which was published in Brazil this year bearing the title Olhos da Loba. The German edition of the book – (Wir müssen uns irgendwie ähnlich sein) – has been recently (27 July 2010) reviewed by Andreas Breitenstein in Neue Zürcher Zeitung
