Zmeškal speaks in London
From 17th to 20th June 2010, London played host to the World Literature Weekend festival, which was organized by the London Review Bookshop. Among the participating guests was the successful Czech novelist Tomáš Zmeškal who appeared there upon invitation by the local Czech Centre.

“It was a panel discussion in support of the newly launched edition Penguin Central European Classics and Zmeškal spoke about Škvorecký. Around 80 guests arrived to the British Museum, where the event took place, and Zmeškal was excellent. Let’s hope that some of the publishers that showed interest in bringing out his books will actualize this,” says Renata Clark from Czech Centre London.
