Born 1966 in Berlin. She graduated in Slavonic studies from Humboldt University in Berlin and Charles University, Prague. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Free and Humboldt Universities. Since 1995 she has worked at the Czech Centre in Berlin, since 2012 as deputy director. She is a regular collaborator with the Czech Ministry of Culture (presentation of Czech writers at the Leipzig international book fair). She has translated the following Czech books: Česká literatura pro děti a mládež (2000–2011) (ed. Radim Kopáč, 2012), Nový český komiks (2000–2012) (eds. Jana Fantová, Radim Kopáč, 2012) and Nová česká beletrie 2011/2012 (eds. Radim Kopáč, Jakub Šofar, 2013). She also devotes herself to cinema (cooperation with the Cottbus film festival). She lives in Berlin.
