Zsuzsanna Juhászné Hahn

Translator. She specializes mainly in the translation of contemporary Czech prose and is interested in literature for children and young adults. She has translated into Hungarian To Disappear by Petra Soukupová, A Winter Book About Love by Dora Kaprálová, A History of Light by Jan Němec, the play From Stardust by Lenka Lagronová and short texts by Pavla Horáková, Jana Šrámková, Alice Horáčková, Petr Hruška, Jaroslav Rudiš, David Jan Žák, Otokar Březina and Karel Šiktanec. In 2016 she led the Czech workshop at the László Németh translators’ camp and in 2018 was a member of the jury for the Susanna Roth Award. She is currently working on a translation of Hana by Alena Mornštajnová. She is a recipient of the Susanna Roth Award and the Mihály Babits translation scholarship.
