Translator. She studied the teaching of German and history (Masaryk University in Brno) and Czech philology (Universität Regensburg), and graduated in German-Czech comparative linguistics (Universität Regensburg). She has worked as a lecturer at the department of German Studies at Masaryk University Pedagogical Faculty in Brno and on a sociolinguistic project at the Bohemicum Centre for Czech Studies at Regensburg University, where she has taught Czech since 2005. As part of this she specializes in the didactics of Czech as a foreign language and in recent years has been focusing on teaching Czech to students with a Czech migration background, as well as teaching audio-visual translation. She publishes academic studies on phraseology, sociolinguistics and the language of advertising.
