A writer, poet, and literary translator. His translations include Arnošt Lustig’s Fire and Water (Northwestern University Press, 2006) and The Ratcatcher by Viktor Dyk (Plamen Press, 2014). Kostovski’s writings and translations have appeared in Absinthe-New European Writing, The Sligo Creek Journal, Poet Lore, and Watchword Press. He was awarded a NEA Translation Fellowship in 2016 for his work on Hana Andronikova’s final novel Heaven Has No Ground. He was born in Prague in 1968.
