This new novel is a psychological probe into the most intimate family relationships. Two characters, a grown-up son and his mother, tell their story. Each from a different perspective they look at their own live and of them who are closest to them.

Through Frosted Glass is a book about wasting ones live, about bereavement and growing older, about false illusions, about waiting for something that never will come, and about wasting of what is now in our grasp. About how probably most of us are living. Hůlová unveils this all in the micro-cosmos of one family. With her characteristic style of the ‘monologue intérieur’ she creeps under the skin of the characters and shows what is hiding under the outer layer of varnish that conceals their true feelings.
