About the author

Josef Formánek is a writer, reporter, photographer and traveller born on 16 June, 1969 in Ústí and Labem. He is the co-founder of the Koktejl geographical magazine and was the editor-in-chief for thirteen years. His first novel, Prsatý muž a zloděj příběhů (The Breasted Man and the Thief of Stories), became a bestseller in 2003 (over 50,000 copies sold). His second book, Létající jaguár (The Flying Jaguar, 2004), was the fastest written, published and distributed book in the world (a Guinness World Record).
