The story of Karamel, a little bear in the big city, is a tale of friendship, love and learning.

Learning languages is not easy. But if you have friends who are willing to help, it can be really fun. Karamel is a little Czech teddy bear in London who does not even know how to say ‘Hello’ or ‘Hi’. With children’s help he finally learns English, finds new friends and discovers London.

The story was inspired by kids from Czech-English families, who come to the Czech school in London every Saturday to learn Czech. Sometimes they struggle; sometimes they cannot remember a word even though they have heard it hundred times; and sometimes they feel a bit lonely, because their friends often leave for the Czech Republic.
