The fourth title in the series founded in 2010 and published by Czech Ministry of Education for the promotion of Czech culture abroad is New Czech Comics (2000–2012). The publication, published multi-lingually in Czech-English-German, summarises the essence of what has been happening in Czech comics since 2000: it presents no fewer than forty contemporary comic book authorsů, contains original expert essays (by Helena Diesing, Vojtěch Čepelák and Radim Kopáč), full-colour illustrations, selected bibliography and indexes. The book shows that the comic book medium has long been much more than low children entertainment but a full-fledged art form with supra-national potential.
