A fairy-tale travesty from “a real forest, 100% chlorophyll” amusingly breaks all the imaginable rules of the genre by unrestrainedly indulging in all sorts of digressions, alienation effects and sense for nonsense. In a dialogue between two fairly atypical fairies, which read Tolstoy at the clearing of Frog’s Quack and assist in the big hunt for Spiderman, the frolicking author confirms Tolkien’s belief that the borders for the reader’s understanding of a tale must not be too strictly defined: it belongs to all whose hearts can respond to it.
