Best Translated Book Award

Launched by the weblog Three Percent in 2007, the Best Translated Book Awards aim to bring attention to the best original works of international fiction and poetry published during the previous year. To be eligible for the award, the book must be distributed through all normal sales channels in the U.S. and have never appeared in translation before. Starting in 2011, each winning translator and author will be awarded a $5000 cash prize and a plaque.
