Adin Ljuca

Translator, poet, prose writer. He has lived in Prague since 1992. He has published the poetry collection Hijra (translated into Czech by Dušan Karpatský) and Stalactite (translation František Šístek), the short-story collection Tattooed Pictures (translation Filip Tesař) and One White Day (translation František Šístek). He has also translated several works by Ivan Wernisch and Petr Hruška, and short-story collections by Jan Balabán and Jaromír Štětina. In addition to his own literary work and translations of fiction, he has also translated numerous academic monographs. He has also written and translated several dozen academic studies focusing on the cultural history of Czech-Southern Slavonic relations. He founded the publishing house Samizdat (www.samizdat.nu) at the end of 2015.
