Emil Hakl’s novel addresses a hot topic in science and technology — the creation of an artificial human.

Literary fiction, Science fiction

In Uma’s Version, humanity’s Frankenstein-like desire to create a humanoid robot is fulfilled in genuinely amateur conditions. However, this does not prevent the two main characters from experiencing an intense relationship based on mutual affection, which eventually turns into an addiction, conspiratorial friendship and sex. This is a novel about love with a plot which incorporates detective novel elements and is written in the authors typically efficient and fast-paced style.
