Every year, the Czech Ministry of Culture awards grants to support the translation and publication of Czech literature abroad. There are two deadlines: on 15th April and 15th November.

The allocation of €538,000 is a dramatic increase over last year, when foreign publishers received €214,000 in the first round. This increase in financial support is connected with the Ministry of Culture’s new grant programme, which covers copyright costs, printing, design, promotion and excerpt translations, as well as translation costs.
