The cultural programme of the stand will include talks by priest and author, Tomáš Halík, diplomat and director of the Václav Havel library, Michael Žantovský, and writer, Karel Hvížďala. They will be discussing Havel’s life as well as his legacy in today’s society. Václav Havel (1936–2011) would have celebrated his 80th birthday in October.
The Czech stand, located in Hall 5.0/B 116, will officially open on 20th October at 3pm and feature over a dozen printing companies, large and small publishers and university presses.
